India captain MS Dhoni has said that the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka will help his group consider where they stand at the moment.

"It's the start of the season for us," Dhoni said on Wednesday, soon after India had arrived in Colombo for the five ODIs and one-off Twenty20 against Sri Lanka. "There are certain localities where we've wanted to advance, where we've had a consideration saying these are the localities where we need to improve upon to consistently do well … This is a nice event to test how much we have advanced and how much farther we can really advance on the field."

South Africa vs England

England won the toss and decided to bat against South Africa
An eagerly foreseen sequence, which will work out the No. 1 Test group in the world, will begin with England batting at The Oval after Andrew Strauss won the toss on what both captains acquiesced was a amazingly dry exterior granted all the latest poor climate round.

That climate afresh tried to have an influence on proceedings as a dark cloud came across the ground just as the head persons arranged for the toss at 10.30am and commanded to a 20-minute hold up, with the start time shoved back to 11.15am. There is the chance for farther showers throughout the day, but there is expected to be a glimmer of summer eventually reaching later in the game.
