Till recently, Pakistan's full tour of Sri Lanka for a series of 2 Twenty20s, 5 ODIs and 3 Tests existed solely within the ICC's Future Tours Programme. The schedule was formally approved by the PCB a month ago and no matter build-up that existed was lost within the frenzy of the IPL. Despite its good positioning - the IPL is over, those from {the 2|the 2} sides in question are freed from different commitments and Sri Lanka is that the venue for the planet Twenty20 - the pre-series hype that sometimes accompanies a contest between two high-profile groups as Sri Lanka and Pakistan is missing.

One reason may well be the very fact that the tour gets underway in far-flung Hambantota, the country's newest cricketing venue; at the cricket board workplace in Colombo, though, there's very little or no activity at the price ticket counter.

ECB announces 2013 Ashes schedule

England can begin their 2013 defence of the Ashes with back-to-back Tests at Trent Bridge and Lord's in July, whereas Australia can play a primary check at Durham's Chester-le-Street ground within the fourth match of the series. The ECB has announced the schedules for Australia's tour next year, moreover because the visit of recent Zealand earlier within the summer and therefore the itinerary for the ICC Champions Trophy.
